Each stone slab is bar coded for easy locating. Contempo’s showroom associates have received special training, and only one person is needed to operate the controls and handle the extremely heavy stone, thus narrowing the risk of injuries on the showroom floor.
“We were very excited to find this showroom space available on 300 West in the Salt Lake Design District,” said Richard Pease, president of Contempo. “We consider this showroom an extension of our ceramic, porcelain and stone tile gallery just a mile away at 3732 South. Our new indoor stone slab gallery will provide year- round comfort for our customers and the locale is very convenient for designers and the public.
“We like to think of our slab showroom as a gallery featuring art made by Mother Nature,” added Pease. “And, we encourage anyone who is considering building or remodeling, to come in and get inspired by the exquisite colors of polished marble and granite. A beautiful piece of stone can serve as the focal point and color palette of a room or even an entire floor of a home.”
Between the two locations Contempo Tile offers the largest selection of tile and stone slabs in the Intermountain West. The company’s educated and experienced design consultants are available to provide tours of the new stone gallery and ideas for creative design solutions.
